Employee Spotlight – Jason Brandt

OUR HOT TUB BLOG

Jason joined New England Spas in 2019 and is a member of our Sales Department. He was born and raised in Natick, so he finds himself right at home working in our Natick showroom. His extensive product knowledge and charismatic personality makes him tremendous asset to the team. He consistently goes above and beyond for customers, and is always willing to lend a hand or helpful advice to his teammates too!

A Google review from one of his customers says it best:

“The experience of purchasing a hot tub from Jason Brandt at the Natick location was terrific. He was knowledgeable and friendly and was able to guide me the exact tub I wanted…I was very happy with the sales, service and attention to detail that Jason provided. I would highly recommend New England Spas for your hot tub purchase”

Q&A with Jason!

Where are you from?

I am from Natick, Massachusetts. Born and raised, still live here a mile from the Natick store. I have lived in NYC and in the Washington, DC area, but Natick is and will always be home.

What do you like to do when not at work? Hobbies etc.?

During the season I play golf on Mondays, not very well. I shoot in the high 80’s/low 90’s. I also have a passion for making things out of leather and I create and sell handmade pieces in my free time.

What was your first job?

My very first job was dragging the Sunday newspapers from the sidewalk into Suburban Pharmacy at the end of Lakeshore Road in Natick. In return I could choose a dime or a candy bar. I was about six years old. When I was 12, I worked behind the counter of the snack bar at Fairway Sportworld during the weekends of the state candlepin bowling tournament held there.

Do you have any pets?

I have two beautiful German Shepherd dogs. Axel is 2 ½ years old and his half-brother Brutus is 1 ½ years old.

Favorite sports team(s)?

I bleed green for my Celtics, and I love the Pats and Red Sox too. I love going to WooSox games with my grown children.

Favorite TV show and/or movie?

Oh wow…hmmm I think my favorite movie is Pulp Fiction. I don’t know that I have a favorite TV show. I do like watching the auditions on America’s Got Talent, but I don’t watch the rest of the rounds.

Favorite band or singer?

I am kind of a jazz/funk listener and I love Herbie Hancock and obscure bands like Lettuce (seeing them in Boston in October) and Incognito, but as for bands anyone has heard of, I like the 60’s and 70’s groups like Aerosmith and Boston and the Beatles and The Who and Rolling Stones. I can’t pick just one.

Favorite place you’ve visited?

Lugano, Switzerland. The mountains come right out of Lake Lugano and there is something tropical about that place even though it’s in Switzerland.

Favorite thing(s) about working at New England Spas?

My teammates across the company and my teammates in Natick.  I love working in the Natick store. We have developed into such a good team with good relationships. We watch out for eachother, we support each other and look forward to working with each other every day. It’s also nice that it’s a mile from home!
