Is your spa not heating? An old or dirty filter could be the cause

OUR HOT TUB BLOG

||||

We’ve found that when a spa is not heating, the most common cause is a dirty or old filter. Cleaning or replacing your filter is an easy solution! So, in a no-heat situation, the first thing to do us check your filters!

In order to test whether or not the filter is the cause of a no-heat situation:

1. Turn the power off at the outside breaker

2. Take out the filter out of the spa (make sure that nothing is floating in the spa that could get sucked into the filter area).

3. After leaving the spa off for 45 minutes, turn the spa back on without the filters in the spa to see if it begins heating

4. If it begins heating, you know it is the filter causing the problem.

Cleaning and Replacing your Filters:

*Please note: some spas are compatible with multiple filter models. If you are ever unhappy with the performance or lifespan of your filter, please contact us to find out about other options.*
