New England Spas is proud to announce that in partnership with Sundance® Spas and the Wish for Our Heroes foundation, we have provided a new hot tub to the family of SSG Michael Downing. We are truly grateful to Michael for his service and thank him and his family.
Michael was selected to be the recipient of the Wish for Our Heroes program, where a new Sundance Spa® is provided for a military veteran and their family. Michael was a decorated Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army, and selflessly served our country until he was critically injured in 2008. After he returned, Michael continued to serve the community and was an avid supporter of many veterans causes and groups. He loved spending time with his family, his wife, Dawnalee, and their four children, and running an animal sanctuary alongside Dawnalee. Michael passed away in August 2020.
Dawnalee continues to run the animal sanctuary, and several veterans work there as well. We are proud to provide this spa to Michael’s family and this community of military veterans. Their new Sundance® spa will provide hydrotherapy to help with pain and discomfort. The heat, buoyancy, and jet massage that hot tubs provide are effective in relieving aches and pains, repairing damaged tissue, and easing the symptoms of stress. The hot tub was delivered on February 19th, 2021.
